Is Foreign Assistance Important?

How Many Africans Need to Die before the American People Notice?

Many people never leave the country, and some have only experienced poverty in the United States.  They only see the children’s distended bellies (from malnourishment) on television.  They see images of children who are hopeless and have impossible journeys before them. They have never been forced from their homes… Or Maybe they have.

How many Africans will die before the 2017 Christmas?

PEPFAR Synopsis

The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) was launched in 2003 by President George W. Bush with strong bipartisan support from the U.S. Congress and strengthened significantly by President Barack Obama. The program represents America’s commitment to saving lives and the shared responsibility of all global partners to achieve an AIDS-free generation. With the generous support of the American people, the U.S. government has committed more than $70 billion to bilateral HIV/AIDS programs; the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria; and bilateral tuberculosis programs.

My views on the U.S. Government’s Decision to Make Critical Cuts to International Assistance:

Last week, the House of Representatives came out with a “proposed budget for international assistance.”

The budget-cuts will force critical poverty fighting programs to cut assistance to the poorest of poor, and dissolve any stability in the region.

The actions Congress are a direct threat to our National Security, and a very near-sighted and poorly thought-out decision.

Anyone who agrees that America should somehow try to contain the mayhem happening in the world right now, (such as Boko Haram, 60 million displaced worldwide refugees) should call Speaker Ryan’s office and leave him a message sharing how disappointed you are that the House is still suggesting funding cuts to international foreign aid.

The actions of Congress and Speaker Paul Ryan have committed will cause people to die and alter changes to the entire populations of African countries that we help.

  • Bed Nets that protect people from mosquitos
  • Life-saving HIV/Aids Medication
  • Immunizations
  • Basic Food for Refugees who flee war torn Countries
If the US pulls Support from “Proposed Budget for International Assistance”
The following will occur:
  • Increase in HIV/AIDS/STD’s Rates, Related Rapes, and Death
  • More Violence Against African People in Multiple Countries
  • Economic Devastation from Related Conflicts and War
  • The Rise of More Terror Groups that Pop-up All Over
  • Rampant Prostitution of Children, Women, and Men
  • Destabilization and Devastation of Implemented Governments
  • More Interest Payments on Current African Government Debt
  • More Government Corruption

You can’t afford to feel hopeless, I am not informing people to make them feel overwhelmed… I am hoping that you, too, will take an interest in other peoples lives.  See past the current status quo of “self-involvement.”  This is about the decisions the “world” has made in a systematic and racially motivated way – to exploit African countries.

This is specifically what you can do:

Call Speaker Paul Ryan’s office and leave him a message sharing just how disappointed you are that the House is still suggesting funding cuts to international assistance.
His official Website is: www.speaker.gov
DIAL: 1 (888) 521-4930
I would call and say something like:

I’m disappointed in the House’s proposal for the international affairs budget.

I know this process is not over and you will have a huge impact on the final outcome

I’m counting on your leadership to restore the cuts to critical poverty fighting programs.

Thank you, Speaker Ryan …

Your attention to this is paramount.

Your Beliefs in the should compel you to make a better decision
for people who have no options.
